It's hard to imagine you could improve on an awesome concept, but the starlight headliner has. A stitched variation of space by master crafters has taken the headliner to incredible levels. Just see for yourself.

Simply watch this video and you'll see exactly how much of a journey it provides. What does it mean to go fast? It can mean different things to different people. Yet no one would argue that 250 mph is fast. Damn fast. For 18 lucky Bugatti drivers it was a reality at Kennedy Space Center where they had the distance to realize the dream of fast. Take a moment to share that reality of the undoubted definition of what fast is with these lucky elite. The DLX Show was a smashing success and we loved being there. You have to know by now that if we're there that we have to film something! Although we were spending a ton of time on the DJ Booth we made time to film some of the cars to share with those of you that couldn't make it! Note: video goes live Friday (5/26) @ 5pm ET. We were advised of a familiar roar on a few short hours ago. Aston Martin had been teasing of a new announcement. Well, here it is. The Aston Martin DB12 Super Tourer in a perfect racing green. Enjoy. We arrived bright and early at 7:30 AM for a 10 o'clock start. The weather said it would be 70 with slight clouds, but at this time it was only 55 degrees and the drizzle that had just stopped falling from the sky was still leaving a dark sheen on the asphalt. Sunday was the rain date and even though everyone was excited to come out, as someone invested in the show you still have anxiety about attendance. I quickly dropped off the stanchions and orange cones that would represent VIP for the day.
It wouldn't take long before the roar of V12 engines and high powered V8 power plants would shatter the dreamy back woods of Bolton MA. They began to pull in almost an hour before the show would even start and 20 minutes before 10 the lot was starting to fill. It was Eurotech Motorsports and they came in with a troupe of vehicles that would quickly take over the front line. Lucid showed up shortly thereafter with multiple vehicles to give supercar owners a test drive, Lamborghini Lethal Detailing Products had sat up their tent and Wash Me Mobile Detailing was plugged into the water line and ready to wash the large group of cars that had pre-registered to get a cleaning at the location. The food trucks would follow. We had the music cranked well before the start, but fighting against the sound of cars was difficult. So many friends showed up and what was suppose to be a filming opportunity became hand shakes as wave after wave of groups showed up. It would continue well into the day. A row was dedicated simply to Huracans, but it should've been called STO row as it had more of that model than anything else in vivid awesome colors. The VIP line filled up slowly, starting with a Testarossa, then the Diablos and a Murcielago along with promoter Brad Singh. Still the crowd was waiting on the star of the show, the Enzo. It arrived around noon followed quickly by a Spyker. The crowd was split on what to check out first and even made entry into the show difficult as they crowded around for shots. As with all great car shows they suddenly break out in a photo shoot with fans and owners alike. It was a great time had by all. When all was said and done over 250 vehicles and countless spectators had passed through the lot. The Jumpstart charity had raised a ton of money and the event director Aditya Dutta had difficulty calculating it. If you missed out, you missed a great one. The next time you see an event on DLX... put it on your calendar. You won't want to miss it. Due to a weather event moving in on the 20th we are forced to move the event to the 21st.
Please update your scheduling for that time. Lamborghini is no stranger to dreams. It takes vision, planning, detailed execution. Luck needs to be made not counted on. Anytime we can step into the back areas of Lamborghini and see this process, we're taking it. So here they give you that grand tour into what it takes to become an icon. Last day to register your supercar! That's right, this Saturday is the Supercar Event to support Jumpstart. May 7th, 1963 Automobili Lamborghini S.p.A. was born. It's a well known story at this point. A tractor maker that felt he could build a better road car that would focus on the driving experience with a focus on performance fueled vehicles. Lamborghini's doesn't have the prestigious past that many of its competitors. It fended off an oil crissis, bankruptcy and two financial downturns, but its focus never strayed from delivering a no holds barred brand and the love for the cars didn't falter. In the last 10 years the brand has seen tremendous growth. The bull was perfect to represent the brand. It continued to do what it was told it couldn't. Even the vehicles would bear names of bulls that had bested their matadors or simply refused to be contained. Only now do we realize how appropriate it was. The Miura was the first car to bear the title supercar. The Countach would be a poster on every wall as it took the fastest production car title. Each model simply compelled visions of cruising through farmlands and deserts with long roads where the car could be run out and drivers indeed found places they could pass the 200 mph barrier and keep going. All that without a single racing division through much of its lifetime! They simply drove forward and dreamed bigger. Today Lamborghini isn't a small business in Sant'Agata Bolognese anymore. It's grown to lengths and bounds that I believe Ferruccio, its founder, wouldn't have imagined but would be proud of. Two successful performance cars and a performance based SUV. Rumors of a sedan as they introduce their first hybrid V12 supercar in short order. The future for the brand looks very bright. Below is some pictures provided by Lamborghini that will take you through the history and lore that is so important to its legacy. We hope you enjoy. Here's to another 60 years of breaking through barriers and street bred performance. |
