The night before those interested in the Hopkinton Concours held their breath. While some areas had reported numbers as low as 13%, the major news was reporting a 60% chance of rain. The truth is Primo knew better and when Aditya, the coordinator and creator, said, "the DJ needs to know by 11," he advised go for it, it'll be fine. And so it was, for 24 hours the team of the Hopkinton Concours went to work. Practicing plans for what would be their first time putting together a major event. What they woke up to the next morning was nothing short of perfect. Sunny weather, partly cloudy and almost 80 degree temps. Attendees clamored to change plans. Suddenly it was a priority to come out and they did, in droves. Team 603 Speed brought over 30 cars alone. The event was amazing. As you drove in you'd face off against a custom McLaren MC 4/12 and a rare BMW 750Li V12 Limo that directed you to the entry desk, and that was just the gate! As you pulled through the rows you'd be met by multiple rows of supercars, luxury cars and rare vintage cars on display crossing almost 100 years. To add to the fun, Aston Martin gave children drives in their new DBX SUV, Euro Design had a seating area and fun music playing, and a food truck (that probably thought it was going to be a slow day) had problems keeping up with the orders! Donations were accepted for the Jimmy Fund and Dana Farber Cancer Institute. All this came from a day that not 12 hours earlier the weather had said 66% chance of rain. Instead May brought out some exotic flowers that will resonate with attendees throughout the year. It was a refreshing scene and really put the cap on the concept, we're ready to recover from the rain.
