The New Ken Block Porsche Pike's Peak Destroyer

Ken Block is no stranger to fast and powerful cars.  He's also no stranger to thinking outside the box.  Both are concepts we thoroughly enjoy and hope everyone shares.  Reaching a new apex requires both skills in abundance.  They also take goal oriented direction with immense attention to detail.  What people sometimes don't realize is how many stones they leave unturned.

The truth is, some cars are just done right and this is one of those times.  This 1400 horsepower, all wheel drive Porsche, dubbed Hoonipigasus, was designed specifically with one task in mind; to destroy Pike's Peak.  It should be perfect for that goal.  What it does almost seamlessly, and why I think we love Ken Block projects so much, is it embraces both the fashion and the creativity that isn't required to accomplish that goal.  Sure, anyone could put together a caged vehicle that could take on Pike's Peak, but to Ken that just wouldn't do.  This vehicle is a statement.  It's a cover photo moment.  It's the same vein that made people put Countachs on their walls.  It's making the difficult stuff look easy and the easy stuff look hard.  How do you look rugged and fashionable at the same time?

The Porsche is a great platform that many skilled drivers have had difficulty taming, but pulling the engine to mid-position has never been a bad formula for one.  It embodies that obsession that owners have and seems to be departure from the brands of his past.  The pink color is bold and thrown together well with the unique styling of GucciGhost, meaning no matter how fast it goes eyes will be solidly on the vehicle.

Ken is no stranger to Pike's Peak, with some being good battles and others not so much, but this is his sluggerish fast ball attempt at a homerun and if it performs as good as it looks he should have no trouble reaching his goal.  The truth is we're just happy to be sharing this journey with Ken and his creations and can't wait to see this tearing up the mountain.
